FULL DAY EXCURSIONS    
1. Colombo City Tour
After breakfast leave for Colombo. Thereafter visit Bandaranayake Memorial International Conference Hall (BMICH), Gangarama Temple and the Town Hall. Lunch will be optional .. Then free for shopping (at Odel and Paradise Road). Visit a Hindu Temple, After that proceed to respective beach hotels.

2. River rafting
Leave the south coast in the morning for Kitulgala via Padukka, Hanwella and Avissawella. Along this journey you could witness rubber Plantation and picturesque landscapes. A short stop at the Plantation Hotel for changing purposes. Thereafter, proceed to Kelani River to commence the River rafting adventure. During the run, you will experience the thrill of shooting rapids and euphoria of making it through. As the river widens, you will pass the scenic location used to shoot the film “Bridge over the River Kwai”. The clients will be given the opportunity to swim in the river if they desire Lunch is at Plantation Hotel. After lunch continue rafting along the Kelani River for approximately 5 km. There after proceed to the respective beach Hotel by vehicle.

Things to bring
- Clothes for changing purposes, towels and track shoes.

3. Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
Leave for Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage. Here, there are Elephants and Baby Elephants, who were found abandoned in the jungles and who are being fed and looked after. Clients will be given the opportunity of riding an Elephant in a nearby Elephant village. Also, visit a Spice Garden. Lunch at Pinnalanda Restaurant at Pinnawala. Thereafter return to the respective beach hotels.

4. Kandy Day
Leave in the morning for Kandy via Kalutara and Horana, Enroute visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, a Spice Garden and a tea factory. Lunch at Hotel Hilltop Kandy. In Kandy, visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic, Market, and Botanical Gardens. Thereafter proceed to respective beach hotels via Pasyala, Horana and Kalutara.

(Please note you will be returning to the hotel very late )

5. Sigiriya & Dambulla
Leave for Sigiriya and climb the 5th century Sigiriya rock fortress which is a world heritage site built by king Kashyapa [477-495AD] the lion rock is a citadel of unusual beauty rising 2oo meters from the jungle. The rock was the innermost stronghold of the 70 hectare fortified town. A moat; rampart and extensive gardens including the renowned water gardens ring the base of the Rock .visit the world renowned frescoes of the "Heavenly maidens" of Sigiriya which are in a sheltered pocket of the rock approached by a spiral stairway. These frescoes are painted in earth pigments on plaster.

Lunch at Pellwehera Village After lunch climb up to the temple , which was donated by king Walagambahu in the 1st century BC to Buddhist monks . Dambulla is a world heritage site and the most impressive of Sri lanka's cave temples the complex of five caves with over 2000 sq meters of painted walls and the ceiling is the largest area if paintings found in the world. These caves contain over 150 images of the Buddha of which the largest is the colossal figure of the Buddha carved out of rock spanning 14 meters. Thereafter leave for respective beach hotels.

6. Singharaja Rain Forest
Leave for Rathnapura and visit the Singharaja rain forest which is Sri Lnka only remaining primeval rain forest. A single foot path cuts through the heart of its 50 sq miles. The vegetation is many layered as in the Amazon or Congo. Rare orchid’s blossom and cicades chirp. The only other sound is that of rain 200 inches fall annually here spread the year. Transfer from Singharaja rain forest to Rathnapura. Lunch at Ratnaloka

7. Yala Day
Leave for Yala and do a safari of the Yala national park by jeep. Yala is the largest national parks in Sri Lanka and ics the home of wild elephants, wild boar, wild buffalo, leopard, bear, deer, and crocodiles. You can also see large flocks of migratory and indigenous birds.
